Zeitz MOCAA

In Cape Town, a historic grain silo has become a museum for contemporary African art. The architects of Heatherwick Studio had the concrete walls of the granaries sawn open, creating an atrium of almost cathedral-like character. New concrete reinforces the old silo walls - it was only after being treated with KEIM-Concretal that it met the planners' requirements. It is a real magnet for the public: In the first month after its opening, 70,000 people flocked to the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary African Art (MOCAA).
