Schwerin Castle
Schwerin Castle stands on an island in Lake Schwerin and was the residence of the Dukes and Grand Dukes of Mecklenburg. Its present Historicist form comes from a rebuild between 1845 and 1857, and today it houses the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and a museum. KEIM listed it as one of its worldwide references.
