Munich Volkstheater

The stage is the heart of an event - the new Volkstheater the heart of the Schlachthofviertel in Munich. With the conversion and new construction of the Munich Volkstheater, the architects from LRO Lederer Ragnarsdóttir Oei created not only a combination of old with new, but also a balance of monochrome and colourful. Seen from the outside, the brick-red facade blends harmoniously into the surroundings of the old cattle yard area. The large archway creates an "arc of tension" from the listed part of the building to the new building, which allows visitors to experience the history of the site.
