Christ Church Luenen

The christ church in Luenen, built in 1913/14 by Reinhold Becker, impressively demonstrates how art and architecture can enter into a harmonious dialogue with its new colour scheme. The interior was redesigned by artist Ulrich Reimkasten with horizontal lines of colour in soft pastel shades. With the aid of a laser project, the lines were precisely marked throughout the room and then traced. Reimkasten, whose work often combines traditional elements with contemporary accents, deliberately uses colours that reflect the incident light in a special way.
