Newtown Silos (Crago Mill)
Newtown Silos is an adaptive reuse of the former Crago flour mill on Gladstone Street, Newtown. Its landmark grain silos were turned into three residential buildings with 59 apartments over 14 levels, with a metal-clad penthouse on top and a new low-rise building along Gladstone Street. The project ran from 1999 to 2005 and won awards in 2006. The coordinates are approximate (Gladstone Street).
