Dame Eadith Walker Estate (Yaralla)
Yaralla, the Dame Eadith Walker Estate on the Parramatta River at Concord West, centres on an Italianate house built 1851-1864 for Thomas Walker to Edmund Blacket's design, with 1890s additions and stables by John Sulman. Dame Eadith Walker lived there until her death in 1937 and her bequest turned the estate into a convalescent hospital; it is now owned by NSW Health and its buildings house palliative care and dementia day-care services.
