Broken Hill and District War Memorial

Sir John Monash unveiled the memorial on 11 October 1925. It is a Harcourt granite monument with a bronze soldier throwing a bomb, by Charles Web Gilbert, who died a week before the unveiling. Four bronze tablets carry the names of 365 men of the district killed in the Great War.
