Beaconsfield West Substation (TransGrid)

Beaconsfield West substation was commissioned in 1979 as the first major electricity supply point for inner Sydney. Around 2011-2012 TransGrid redeveloped it, adding a new building on each side of the existing substation, each housing 22 bays of 132 kV gas-insulated switchgear.
