Averi Apartments

Averi is a five-storey apartment building in Hawthorn East with 29 one- to three-bedroom homes over a semi-basement car park. It uses sculptural massing, clip-on 'lanterns' and layered landscaping instead of a stepped form, and Hutchinson Builders built it. It won an AIA Victorian Architecture Award for Multiple Housing.
